We have been under the weather and so school has dropped down to doing LOTS of reading and who ever is up to it is drawing and doing copywork. I'm impressed we are doing any schooling with the way the kiddos are feeling. Instead of me doing read alouds we are listening to more audio
books so I can cuddle and snuggle and do oj runs and kids can keep
listening from bed! Plus I'm trying to avoid a sore throat!!
Here's our list of books we are reading to:
The 8 year old's free picks:
My side of the Mountain
Biography of Louisa Alcott
Lots of Picture books for the younger two
And here's what we are listening to this week
Audio books
The Saturdays by Elizabeth Enright
Little House on the Prairie
Scripture Scouts Book of Mormon
Mandy and Pandy visit the Zoo (Chinese learning)
Good Luck Duck read by Jim Weiss
Music:
Mozart (put on by the 6 year old- yay!)
Signing time Songs Volumes 7-9
This is pretty much since Saturday, since Sunday we stayed at home from church we listened to a lot! We also have had family in town and will have more friends in town t his week, so we are taking some of our vacation time. I'm sure our list will get long by Friday!
What do you do when you get sick kids? Take days off, keep working? I'd love to hear!
